The Mind …

The  Mind  …. And What Tricks It Can  Play  …..How many times have you briefly heard something on the television or the radio and you miss hear it  then your mind goes off on a tangent thinking all sorts of funny things . Even when you hear the same thing again  ,correctly this time the mind still  thinks back to the first version you heard and no matter how you try you cannot get it to stay on the right 1 for a long time  . Then there is the ear worm how many times do we hear a song or a tune and that is it , it keeps playing and playing  in your mind and nothing short of going to sleep will stop it . There are even some ear worms so hard to shake that even if you go to sleep as soon as you wake up …. yep there it is again  , hate those types so hard to get rid of .

You can be walking along or even just sitting  ( like I do ) on the balcony just relaxing  and watching the world go by when something goes by that makes no sense  and you think hold on  what  ?? So you try to have another look and see what it really was and find that what you thought you saw was something else entirely . You may have been distracted  and only partly  saw it  , so the mind decides to fill in the blanks itself  and comes up with some weird and wonderful ideas . It is the same when you only partly hear something  again the mind  fills in the blanks  and again sometimes  they are weird  and they will stay there till you work out what you really heard  .

Another thing the mind can drive you crazy with is if you hear a part of a song  and you cannot for the life of you remember the name of the song  arrrgghhh !!! It will play that song over and over in your mind and not stop till you find out the name of that damm song !! It is like the ear worm but 50 times worse  because the mind wants to know , wants to fill that  name in , and sometimes it can take days to get rid of it , or till you find out the name so damm frustrating  . Have known it to take several days just to find out a name like that for a song , or a movie , or a book , or something , times like this the mind  drives you so nuts you almost go out of it  till all spaces filled in , every i dotted every t crossed then it will shut up . Worse than having kids around the place yelling it can be  and who would have thought that  ??

Sometimes  the mind can be too sharp  and can see what is not there to be seen , it can be too sharp and the results can be hilarious  as happened to me on my first trip to  London . We were walking along I was window shopping  tho what  I would do with the windows if  I bought them I do not know  lol . Anyway  looked up at all the signs , the lights etc. and started to  almost fall over laughing  and said  ” you can’t say that on a sign  ” and fell about laughing yet again . Hubby to be held me and said ” dear have another look  ” so  I did and laughed all over again , what my mind had done was see the first letter  and the last letter and filled in the middle bits itself , what it really  was , was the name of a clothing company that is big in the  UK . Now its difficult  to say what it was without upsetting some people  but I have to ,  to finish this tale , I will  do it and hope you see the joke … this is what  I   saw  Fcuk…..now you hardly need me to tell you what my mind, clever little thing it is thought that said ….ok  now all of you look again as  I bet your mind just did what mine did at the time …lol go admit it , it did  …  If you  say that it didn’t   you’re a fibber  lol.It was actually for  French Connection UK  very well known brand in the  UK.

The mind is such a wonderful thing and can be used for anything  for good or  bad it is only limited by our own hearts and how we react  to other people  or things we are in control , or we should be  and should watch what we do with it , I try to use mine to be the best that  I can be . Having said that it is also true some people do have real problems controlling it  and  I really feel  for them .  There are days when even the strongest  mind can have problems  so it is not just a few who have trouble  we all do and those that say different are kidding themselves .

If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you’ll have trouble putting on your pants.

My Claim To Fame

My claim to fame ………..

It all started on my  very first trip to  England , I had gone to meet for the very first time the man  I had  fallen in love with on the internet . We met in a chat room  and it all went from there and this was my first trip out of  Australia  as well  , this trip had a lot of firsts in it and so will never be forgotten .  I will never forget how long it takes to get there either  , it is a long time to have to sit in 1 place trust me  you are quite  numb when you get up.

So what is this claim to fame  ? Well it all happened when we went to a local shopping center , there to look around and have a coffee  etc. We came upon this stand of men selling the new you beaut  vacuum  cleaner of the day  by a company that did not obviously know anything  or much at all about  Australia . Also they obviously  knew nothing about our  ” lingo ”  and  nick names we give to everything . I am amazed to this day that a company as big as this  did not do any research  , if they had they would have known better , trust me on  this  lol.

I took 1 look at the name they had for it and  broke into laughter  and was laughing so hard they had to ask why  , I pointed to the name and said  ” you can’t call  it that  ”  When they looked at me blankly I had to explain , by this time my then to be  hubby was as bemused as they were  and was seriously wondering what the hell was wrong with me . When  I  finally stopped laughing  enough to talk I told them what they had done wrong, they too then started laughing  and  so did poor hubby to be . Took me so long to stop laughing this took a while …

So what was this all about  ?  They had called the vac. a Root  lol still laugh to this day about this , anyway  to an Aussie  a root is having sex , so when a salesman asks  ” do you want a root  ? ”  he is asking  do you want to have sex  ? So as you can see  once  I told them just what they were asking , and again after falling about laughing  they stopped asking that  . So yes they then changed the name lol to something like the DC13   not real sure , but at least I do have the claim to fame in that  I got a big manufacturing company  to actually go change the name of the product they were selling . I can not to this day even think about that company  without remembering   that day and the hilarity that ensued .

That trip had so many firsts and was so much fun  , 1 other time was again at a shopping center , we had been shopping and were going home  , hubby to be went a car and started to put the key in , I said ” dont touch that car ” he said why ?  I said because it is not your car  , he said yes it is why do you think it isn’t ? I said because your car has yellow number plates this 1 has white  ones …. he took me to the  back of the car and showed me , whereupon once more I fell over laughing and laughed so hard he had  to lift me into the car as  I just could not stop laughing . It turned out that they have 2 colours on the plates  white on the front and yellow on the back  , as  I had never heard of anything so stupid  could not  help myself. In all the time  I eventually spent living there  I never was able to find out why they do that , best answer  I got was  ” so you know that the car  that hit you  was coming or going  ”  Yet another first for that trip and  I actually had to take pictures  and post then before my Aussie friends would believe me !!

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day …. A day to  remember and give thanks to the brave men and women who gave their lives , and to those who returned  , changed forever  by what had happened to them . This is the day when the world stops on the 11th day of the 11 hour of the 11 month  to be thankful that we are alive and free . A time that  most people the world over stop for a few moments to be glad these people  did do what they did as the consequences  to us if they had not , do not bear thinking about . One day I did just that , stopped and thought about the sacrifices  that were made on my behalf , and just what would my life be like now if they had not done what they did .

They made it possible for me and everyone else who lives in a free country to do what they like and go where they  want , they made it possible for us to be what we are , to reach for goals that could never have been reached if not for the bravery of others who fought on our behalf . I have been  lucky enough to travel the world a few times , have seen half  of it  and seen some wonderful places and things  , none of which I would have been able to do without the freedom I now have . These people put their own safety  last as they fought so that  I might be safe  , and live the way  I wanted to with no one to tell me what  I can and cannot  do and when  I can or cannot do something. These  men and women were beyond brave they were  wonderful people with a great sense of what is right and what is wrong , and they knew they could make the changes needed by doing what they did  they never even had second thoughts about it , they just went and did it  .

We have so many reasons to thank these brave soldiers  for ,but  what does make me  so mad and  so angry are these young idiots who say we are promoting war , when in fact we are  promoting  peace by remembering  a war that should never have happened  and promising that it will never happen again . We can but hope it will never happen again  , but human nature being what it is , it surely will as countries decide they will rule the world and tell us what to do .  There will always be some country or other that will think , now we have all these wonderful weapons we will take over the world , and as seen every day these days it wont be that long away , look at  North  Korea for a start , their leader  is obviously ignoring all protocols and beefing up his army and navy etc. He clearly wants to be in charge of the world  , he sees the  world and all its beauty and wants it all for himself  . The greed that caused the other wars will once again rear its ugly head as it has always done , and as it always will  men cannot resist the power and the greed , it is in their nature .

Those too young to know the horror of war , the devastating  effects it had on families and on countries   run around causing trouble  , ridiculing  soldiers , calling them war mongers , de facing memorials , they have never known hardship , never known what it is like to be ordered about by  someone you do not even know who says you must do what you are told no matter what  . They do not realise that without the sacrifices the  soldiers made they would not be able to be the idiots they are  , it is quite possible they may never have been born. If they were what kind of society would it be  ? One that gives them no freedom to go where they want , do what they want or even be the obnoxious  toe rags  they are  , more than likely they would  end up in jail or dead .  So if it was at all possible it would be great if these idiots  could just stop and think first , then do some research  , then they would know why we have  Remembrance Day and why it is a day that needs to be  celebrated  each and every year so we do not forget  . … We must never forget  what was done for us and never stop holding these  remembrance days …

We need to pray more and judge less , and let our fellow men live their lives without  fear ….

Read The Label

Read  the label ……. It is now more than ever before important that we read the labels on everything , on every single thing we buy for what ever reason we buy it . Almost everything is just a lot of chemicals  that are thrown together that if we even knew what they were or what they did to us  by themselves  we would never touch them . They come in the guise of vitamins , cough and cold syrups , make up , face cream , moisturiser , and a squillion  other guises , all purporting to be the very best things we need to fix everything that is wrong , or could go wrong and yes we  MUST  buy them for our own good….yeah right.

Just the very simplest of things can have a devastating effect  on us , I know personally that  I dare not touch a lot of medications off the shelf as so many of them say on the label , not to be taken if you have Glaucoma …. did you know that  ? do you read the labels on things you buy  ? or do you just go blindly along with what the  advertising says ? I have had to learn the hard way to read the labels  having spent many hours and days  leaning over the sink throwing up  as  I tried  first this pain killer then that 1 in a vain attempt to find some relief for this never ending pain. So far all  I have managed to do is  make my self very sick trying and put myself right off trying any more , but more important I have learned to read labels before I try anything now.

Also what it says on the label may not be the exact truth they may omit 1 or 2 things or hide them in print so fine  its hard to spot , but if you want to stay healthy then you have to learn to read all the print before you take anything. Some of the print is so small it takes a lot of finding   and when you do and ask the assistant about it more often than  not they will just say ” oh that’s ok don’t worry about it ”  That is all very well for them they are not the ones taking it  , all they want is to sell it  as that is their job . Yes  I can understand that too these days a job is hard to come by so keeping it is a full time thing  so you have to convince people they can take things that maybe they should not  just to keep the job.

Then there is  now 1 worse thing  than ever to  watch for  , more and more of our products are  being  Halal Certified  and anything that is must NEVER be bought as it is what funds all the terrorism  and murder of the  Islamic  hordes  that now freely roam the world . Lie as they do in denying that the money does not fund it  if you look carefully you will find that  yes it does . How else do you think they can get all the ammunition  and vehicles and can travel so extensively ? How else do they clothe and feed themselves  ? Does the money grow on trees  ? No it does not  , so where else do they get the money if not for this certification ? It makes no sense  for it not to it has to come from somewhere .

So if you value your way of life , your freedom , your country  and do not wish either to be murdered or  raped  then you really , really need to start checking labels  the symbols are there on everything they certify  , and more than likely on your favourite things  so it will be very hard to stop buying these things as  I have found it hard to do  , but we refuse to pay the people  whose only goal in life  is to murder anyone who is not an Islamist   exactly like them  , most of us can see daily on the news of the horrors they inflict  on who they call unbelievers . So to save your life as well as those you  love  and the freedoms and  comforts you have now then  read the label , and remember that they are now getting cunning  and hiding the symbols  so you have to look closely  to find them . It is not easy but you can find them , do a web search and you can find all the symbols  that you need to watch out for  and trust me it all will help .Only by us banding together and denying them this funding which is evil and underhand  and hidden so well can we even hope to try and slow them down , it may not help much but we  have to at least try .
